Terms of use
Last updated 2026-10-15
The service agreement between you and AxiRent: what the service covers, what we commit to, what we expect from you, and what happens when the agreement ends. It consists of these terms, the Data Processing Agreement and the privacy policy.
The parties
The service is provided by the company named at the foot of this page ("AxiRent", "we"). The customer is the person or company in whose name the account was created ("you").
If you create the account on behalf of a company or another person, you confirm that you have the authority to bind them; "you" in these terms then means that company or person.
Anyone who signs in to your account with one of its users' credentials is taken to be authorised to act in the system on your behalf.
The service and your right to use it
AxiRent is an online application for managing rental properties, tenants, tenancies, meter readings, invoices and reminders.
While the agreement is in force we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use AxiRent for your own rental business. The application may not be resold, sublicensed, copied, reverse-engineered or used to build a competing product. Automated requests may be sent only through the API we provide, within its limits.
The AxiRent application, its design and its documentation belong to us. The content you upload stays yours: you give us the right to store, process and display it only as far as providing the service requires. Suggestions and feedback you send us may be used to improve the product, with no obligation to you.
Accepting these terms
You accept these terms when you sign up, by ticking the consent box. With them you accept the Data Processing Agreement and the privacy policy. The date and the version you accepted are kept with your account.
We announce changes to these terms by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. The next time you sign in, the app asks you to tick that you accept the new version. If you do not, you can stop using the service and download your data.
Your account and your obligations
You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for what happens under your account. Turning on two-factor authentication and keeping your devices' protection up to date is recommended.
An account may have several users in different roles. The administrator decides who gets access and is responsible for it.
If you notice a malfunction, tell us as soon as you can, by email or through the help section, and describe what happened. Check invoices, reminders and other documents before sending them: the system prepares them, but you send them.
Some features use artificial intelligence (for example reading photos and documents, translations, the assistant). Their results may be inaccurate, so check them before relying on them, especially amounts, dates and readings.
Your data and your responsibility for it
The data you put into the system stays yours. We do not use it for our own purposes and do not pass it on, except as described in the privacy policy and the Data Processing Agreement. We may use anonymised, aggregated data, from which neither you nor your tenants can be identified, for statistics and to improve the product.
We use your name and logo in a customer list or testimonials only with your consent.
For the tenants and other people whose data you put into the system, you are the controller; AxiRent is only a processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process that data, for having informed those people how and why it is processed (including that you use AxiRent for it), and for the data being accurate and no broader than administering the tenancy needs.
You are also responsible for what you send through the system: invoices, reminders, contracts and other notices. Do not upload unlawful content, or special categories of data (for example about health) that administering a tenancy does not need.
If a third party brings a claim against us over data you processed in breach of the law or of these terms, you will indemnify us for the resulting loss.
Availability and changes
We aim for AxiRent to be available at least 99% of the time over a year. Planned work, and outages not caused by us (for example of the internet or of third-party email, payment or cloud services), are not counted. Planned work is scheduled to avoid disrupting normal use.
We keep improving the features and may change them. If we remove an essential feature from a paid plan, we tell you at least 30 days in advance, and you may then cancel the subscription at once.
Features marked "BETA" are experimental: we may change or withdraw them without notice, and the availability target does not apply to them.
Other providers' services
AxiRent lets you connect other providers' services (for example Stripe, Paysera, Dokobit, Rivile, B1, Shelly, TTLock). You connect them with your own account and under your own agreement with that provider, so their terms, prices and availability are theirs. We pass data to them only on your instruction and only as far as the feature you turned on requires. We are not liable for third-party service outages.
Prices and payment
Plan prices and limits are shown in Subscription and on the website. A paid plan is charged in advance for the chosen period (a month or a year) through the payment provider Stripe.
The free plan (one property) has no end date: no card is asked for and nothing is charged.
We announce a price change at least 30 days in advance. The new price applies from the next paid period.
If a paid plan is not paid for (for example the card is declined or the period ends without renewal), the account is locked: after signing in you can only pay and download a copy of your data. Nothing is deleted. If it is not paid within 30 days, the account is closed.
Term and termination
The agreement has no fixed term and remains in force while you use the account.
You can cancel the subscription at any time in Subscription. Access continues to the end of the paid period.
We may end the agreement with at least 3 months' notice. We may restrict access or end the agreement at once if the system is used unlawfully, to harm other users, or in serious breach of these terms; we will tell you when we do.
Your data when the agreement ends
Until the end of the paid period, and while the account is locked, you can download a copy of all your data.
A closed account's data is not deleted at once, so that it can be restored if the account is paid for. At your request we delete it, except what the law requires us to keep.
Confidentiality
Each party keeps the other's non-public information (for example pricing arrangements, business data, sign-in and integration keys) confidential, uses it only to perform this agreement and does not disclose it to third parties unless the law requires it. This duty survives the end of the agreement.
Liability
We fix the defects we find within a reasonable time.
The system helps calculate and send invoices, but the user issuing them is responsible for their accuracy and legal compliance.
For damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence our liability is not limited. Otherwise it is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the damage arose. We are not liable for indirect damage or lost profit, and for lost data only for restoring it from the latest backup.
These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, for example under consumer protection.
Neither party is liable for failing to perform because of circumstances it could not control or foresee (force majeure), such as natural disasters, war, government decisions or major internet or power outages. We tell you about such circumstances as soon as possible.
Other provisions
If a provision is found invalid, the others remain in force, and the invalid one is replaced by the closest lawful provision.
The processing of personal data is governed first by the Data Processing Agreement. We send notices to the account's email address.
We may assign the agreement to a successor (for example on a reorganisation or sale of the business), after telling you; your rights are not reduced by it.
Governing law and disputes
The agreement is governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania. We first try to settle a dispute by negotiation; failing that, it is decided by the courts of the Republic of Lithuania at the provider's registered seat. Consumers keep every right the law gives them that cannot be waived.
For tenants and other invited users
If a landlord or an administrator invited you to AxiRent, you use the system in their account. They are the controller of your data, so ask them first about it.
Do not share your credentials, and use the system only for your own tenancy: submitting readings, reading your invoices and tenancy, and reporting problems.
The provisions on plans, prices and payment do not apply to you: the person who invited you pays for the service.
